Our hope and our strength come from the Lord, and our joy of salvation is in Him
When it comes to trust, the world seems to to be confused, or at least torn between what to belive and what to affirm as trustworthy. Some claim science is factual and reliable, others beliver in themselves as the pinnacle of truth, however, the world is a shifting sea of sand that is unsteady and unpredictable, leaving no genuine expectation of enduring reliability. However, mankind craves consistency and dependability, but there is only one source for this: The Lord. He alone is the very foundation of what is real and lasting, He alone is the source of true strength and endurance, and He alone is the author and who sustains our faith when all evidence tries to dissuade us. He is the very rock of hope, our soul's anchor of peace, and the assurance of real and everlasting life. It is in the Lord alone we have hope.
Today, hold fast to the Lord in every moment because without Him we are swept up in the currents of the world and left in confusion. He is our rock.
In today’s fast-changing world, many people struggle to find something truly dependable. From scientific theories evolving to shifting cultural values, uncertainty often reigns. I have personally experienced times when relying solely on worldly knowledge or self-confidence left me feeling lost and unsteady, much like standing on shifting sand. What I have found so powerful is the truth in Isaiah 26:4 which says, “Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.” This verse reassures me that unlike any earthly thing, the Lord is an eternal source of strength that never falters. When I anchor my hope and faith in Him, I am no longer tossed by the unpredictable currents of life. Holding fast to the Lord means turning to Him daily, even in moments of doubt or confusion. It invites a steady peace that transcends circumstances. The Lord becomes my rock and refuge—more solid than any foundation the world can offer. This personal journey of trusting in Him has brought me joy, deeper assurance of salvation, and a confidence that sustains me when other supports fail.
