I can’t be the only one…

Do you go commando (no bra/undies) when you are at home or in certain situations, or do you find it gross/weird?

I for one do not judge because I love to go commando. Idk, as a woman we’re taught that we must have panties or thongs on at all times but when I’m chillin’ at home in sweats, I don’t see the need to be wearing them.

1. You should let that area breathe/take a break every now and then from tight fitting undergarments

2. I’ll have to wash the pants I wore that day either way, may as well save clean undies.

Do you go commando? If so, why?

For me, it's become a little ritual of comfort and freedom after a long day. When I walk through the door, shedding my outdoor clothes often means shedding my underwear too. It’s not just about comfort, though that's a huge part of it; there are a few practical and even health-related reasons why I've embraced this habit. First off, let’s talk about letting things breathe. Our delicate areas are often enclosed in fabric all day, especially with tighter-fitting clothes. Giving your body a chance to air out can be incredibly beneficial. For women, it can help reduce the risk of yeast infections or general irritation that can come from moisture and friction in a confined space. It's like giving your skin a much-needed break from constant contact with fabrics, even breathable ones. When I’m just lounging around, wearing loose-fitting pajamas or sweats, the last thing I want is an extra layer creating warmth and potential discomfort. Then there's the sheer comfort aspect. There's truly nothing quite like the feeling of complete freedom you get from being commando in your own space. After hours in restrictive underwear, whether it's lace, synthetic, or even cotton that feels too snug, the relief of simply not having that extra layer is unparalleled. It’s a small luxury that makes a big difference in my relaxation routine. It helps me unwind and truly feel at ease in my own home, which is, after all, my sanctuary. And yes, as the original article mentioned, there's a practical side too! Saving on laundry is a bonus, but it's more about simplifying my routine. If I know I'm just going to be in my loungewear all evening, why add another item to the wash pile? It makes getting ready for bed even quicker. For those who might think it's 'gross' or 'weird,' remember that your loungewear serves the same purpose as underwear in terms of protecting outer clothes, as long as you're keeping your loungewear clean and changing it regularly. Opting for natural, breathable fabrics like cotton for your at-home bottoms can also enhance the comfort and hygiene if you choose to go commando. Ultimately, whether you decide to 'go commando' at home is a personal choice, and there’s no right or wrong answer. But from my perspective, the benefits of enhanced comfort, potential health advantages, and a touch of everyday practicality make it a habit I'm happy to embrace. It’s all about finding what makes you feel most comfortable and at ease in your own skin, in your own home.
