Thailand should use a single council.
Thailand should switch to a "unicameral system" like South Korea.
South Korea has used the Unicameral System for more than 60 years and has achieved great success in the speed of national development, economy and urgent solutions.
While Thailand is still trapped in a bicameral system that often creates delays, conflicts and political problems.
Why is the single council system suitable for Thailand?
1. Fast and efficient
No more upper-lower councils stalling.
The laws that citizens want can be passed within a reasonable time. Not confined for months or years as in the past.
2. Responsibility is clear.
The public knows which representatives should be held accountable. Everything is included in the National Assembly alone. There is no channel of throwing blame between the two councils.
3. Strong monitoring authority
The National Assembly of South Korea (300 people) has a comprehensive and powerful authority:
• Proposed and passed legislation
• Constitutional amendments (2 in 3 votes + referendum)
• Approve and downgrade the land estimate
• Annual government inquiry (Gukjeong Gamsa)
• Vote to remove the President and senior civil servants
• Appointment of prime ministers and key corporate executives approved
Despite being a single council, his system was designed to give the council a very rigorous executive review power.
4. Redundancy reduction and budget
Reducing the number of politicians, reducing state spending, reducing conflict between the two houses, which had been the cause of many Thai political crises.
Important Remarks
The single-council system makes politics move fast. If a party occupies a majority, it can push policy immediately, but if the opposition dominates the House, it can fully monitor the government. There is no "shield" from the Senate.
It is time for Thailand to modernize its democratic system.

จากประสบการณ์การเรียนรู้แนวทางการปกครองในระบบสภาเดี่ยวของเกาหลีใต้ เราจะเห็นได้ว่าระบบนี้สามารถทำให้การบริหารประเทศคล่องตัวขึ้นอย่างมาก ไม่ต้องตกอยู่ในกรอบของการชะลอขั้นตอนผ่านสภาหลายชั้นเหมือนระบบสองสภาของไทย ซึ่งมักจะทำให้เกิดความล่าช้าและปัญหาการเมืองซับซ้อน การใช้ระบบสภาเดี่ยวในเกาหลีใต้ทำให้เกิดความชัดเจนในเรื่องอำนาจและความรับผิดชอบของผู้แทนราษฎร ประชาชนสามารถติดตามและตรวจสอบการทำงานของตัวแทนได้ง่ายขึ้น เมื่อมีปัญหาหรือข้อร้องเรียนก็สามารถเรียกร้องได้ตรงที่สภาแห่งเดียว ไม่ต้องเผชิญกับกรณีที่สองสภาทะเลาะกันและโยนความผิดกันไปมาเหมือนระบบที่มีสองสภา นอกจากนี้ ระบบสภาเดี่ยวยังช่วยลดค่าใช้จ่ายในการบริหาร เพราะไม่ต้องจ่ายค่าตอบแทนและงบประมาณสำหรับสมาชิกสภาสองชั้นจำนวนมาก อีกทั้งช่วยลดความขัดแย้งทางการเมืองที่อาจนำไปสู่ความไม่มั่นคงในการบริหารประเทศได้มากขึ้น ซึ่งมีส่วนสำคัญต่อเสถียรภาพและพัฒนาเศรษฐกิจในระยะยาว ในประสบการณ์ส่วนตัว การบริหารในระบบที่รวดเร็วและมีความรับผิดชอบชัดเจน ทำให้การผลักดันนโยบายที่ตอบโจทย์ประชาชนเป็นไปได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพมากขึ้น เห็นได้ชัดว่าประเทศไทยยิ่งต้องพัฒนาระบบประชาธิปไตยให้ทันสมัยและคล่องตัว เพื่อรับมือกับความท้าทายทั้งในปัจจุบันและอนาคตมากยิ่งขึ้น ระบบสภาเดี่ยวจึงเป็นทางเลือกที่น่าสนใจและควรศึกษาเพื่อนำมาปรับใช้ให้เหมาะสมกับบริบทของไทยอย่างรอบคอบ
