🦢 TJ Maxx Swan Lamp DIY ! 🦢
I saw this lamp at TJMaxx and I immediately knew it deserved a vintage style lampshade. I got the frame from my mom (we've had it for years), and I got allllll my supplies on sale at Joann Fabrics! By no means was this done professionally or how it's likely supposed to be done... but I had so much fun doing it, and I got to practice my non-existent sewing skills! lol

(don't worry, the other lampshade is being used for another lamp😊)
Looking to enhance your home decor on a budget? Repurposing old lamp frames can yield stunning results, just like the vintage-style swan lamp featured in this DIY project. Not only do you save money by reusing materials, but you also add a personalized touch to your living space. Begin by sourcing a vintage lampshade frame, like the one mentioned, which you can find at thrift stores or through family. Then, don't hesitate to get creative with fabric—choose patterned or solid fabrics that match your interior design. For sewing novices, tips such as using double-sided tape to temporarily adhere fabric before sewing can make the process easier. Consider layering different textures like fringe or lace to give your lamp a unique flair. You can find affordable fabric options at places like Joann Fabrics, making this project both fun and economical! Moreover, engaging in DIY projects not only helps you practice skills like sewing but also enables you to create one-of-a-kind home pieces. Keep in mind, the beauty of DIY is in the imperfections and personal touches that make items truly yours. So gather your supplies, channel your inner designer, and let your creativity shine through this fun DIY lamp project!
