Having hair so thick that it requires two hair ties is both a blessing and a challenge. From personal experience, one of the biggest hurdles is finding hair accessories that can handle the volume without snapping or causing breakage. Elastic hair ties with strong stretch but gentle hold, like those made from fabric-covered elastics, tend to work best for thick hair. I personally recommend avoiding metal clasps as they can snag strands and cause split ends. When securing thick hair, dividing the hair into two sections and using two hair ties helps distribute the weight evenly and prevents unnecessary tension on the scalp. This method also reduces the risk of headaches caused by overly tight ponytails. Beyond just styling, maintaining the health of thick hair is essential. Deep conditioning treatments and hydrating masks help keep the hair soft and manageable, making it easier to style with multiple hair ties. Additionally, using a wide-tooth comb minimizes breakage while detangling. For those with thick hair like mine, investing in high-quality hair ties and embracing a method that uses two ties isn't just a trend—it's a necessity to keep hair looking neat, healthy, and effortlessly stylish throughout the day.
