a little food dump and update 🌱🥑✨
swipe for a little food dump + an update : here’s my official announcement that you might start seeing more dairy products and/or eggs on my page (I’m going vegetarian for the time being)
I’ve thought about this for quite some time and decided to step back and be vegetarian to work on prioritizing my health (getting in enough protein, nutrients, eating dis. stuff, etc). I’m not saying it can’t be done on a vegan diet because it absolutely can be, but I struggled with it throughout my 5 years of veganism and want to switch things up to see how I do. So I’m going vegetarian and starting to shop locally and ethically for my animal based products like eggs. You’ll still see vegan meals here and there on my page, and maybe one day in the future when I’m in a better place with food, I’ll go back to being vegan 🌱

Transitioning to a vegetarian diet can be a significant lifestyle change, especially for those who may have adhered to a vegan diet for years. It's essential to consider the nutritional aspects, focusing on adequate protein intake through new sources such as legumes, nuts, and dairy products. Along with personal health benefits, this shift aligns with growing trends towards ethical eating practices. With more consumers opting for local and sustainable products, individuals can better support their communities while ensuring the food they eat is environmentally responsible. Embracing a vegetarian lifestyle does not mean the complete loss of vegan dishes; rather, it allows for a more diverse culinary experience, which includes the best of both worlds. Stay tuned for delicious updates and recipes that reflect this journey, illustrating the joys and benefits of a balanced, health-focused diet!
