Why should girls learn to code?

Hey girls, have you ever thought about learning coding like I did?

#study #learning #studywithme

👩‍💻Coding is a way to self-expression, creativity, and fostering intellectual confidence. Even if you're not planning to pursue a career in tech, learning to code can help you develop a growth mindset, grit, and computational thinking.

But here's the thing: most coding courses out there are male-dominated, and many girls are discouraged by the perceived difficulty and monotony of coding. Only 26% of tech jobs are held by women. Research also shows that nearly 65% of future jobs will be replaced by emerging technologies, making it more important than ever to bridge the opportunity gap!💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

I recommend this website called Codebay, it's been my go-to lately, and I’ve found it to be incredibly GIRL-FRIENDLY!

1️⃣ It overcomes many of the common obstacles that beginners face.

What's the biggest fear when starting to code? Dealing with the tedious setup process! Spending hours trying to figure out confusing command lines in the terminal can be a nightmare. But with Codebay, you can run your first program within 2 minutes of signing up! When you experience the fun and sense of achievement of coding right away, why would you ever want to give up?

2️⃣ Conversational courses make it easier to keep up with your progress.

• I was pleasantly surprised when I started the courses on Codebay-l never expected this teaching format! I've taken video courses and read documentation before, but this was my first time learning coding through conversations! The most fun part is that each level is like a story scene, like completing coding tasks in the story of Romeo and Juliet to learn about Data types. Before you know it, 20 minutes have flown by, and you' re fully immersed and don't want to stop!

3️⃣ Al assistants provide real-time help, so you never have to worry about not understanding something.

• When I used to encounter errors in my code, it would often frustrate me, and sometimes I'd be stuck for hours without a solution! Or there were times when I didn't understand certain parts of a video course, but there was no one to ask immediately, and I'd fall behind. But with Codebay, there's an Al tutor! It's super convenient-you can ask questions in the course whenever you're confused, and it'll provide INSTANT answers, sometimes even with examples. If your code isn't working, just ask, and it' Il help you out. And as a good teacher, it doesn't always give away the answer right away; sometimes it provides helpful hints. This is really helpful! And the best part is, there's no pressure when asking questions to an Al-you don't have to worry about sounding dumb, lol.

Join me and become a tech girl!💗💗💗

... Read moreIn today's digital age, empowering girls to learn coding is more important than ever. Coding opens doors to numerous opportunities and equips young women with skills essential for the 21st-century workforce. With the rise of technology, job roles involving coding are steadily increasing, and girls need to be part of this evolution. A significant issue is the underrepresentation of women in tech. Although women hold 26% of tech jobs, there's a movement to change this and create a more inclusive environment. By learning coding, girls not only gain technical expertise but also build problem-solving skills and a growth mindset that will serve them in all areas of life. Platforms like Codebay are gaining popularity due to their unique teaching approaches. They provide an engaging and interactive way to learn coding, breaking the stereotype that it’s a dull or overly complex endeavor. Codebay uses an innovative method of teaching through relatable stories and conversational courses, which helps in making the learning process enjoyable and effective. Moreover, the presence of AI tutors enhances the learning experience by offering real-time assistance, something that can significantly benefit beginners who are afraid to ask questions in traditional settings. This supportive environment encourages girls to tackle coding challenges without the fear of judgment. Encouraging girls to dive into coding is not about steering them towards tech careers alone; it's about instilling confidence, resilience, and creativity that can be applied in various walks of life. The more girls code, the greater the chance we have for a balanced workforce in the future, fostering a world where diversity thrives in all fields.
