Joy is a state of being that lives in you
Joy is a state of being that lives in your body — not in your achievements. High-performing women are often the last to give themselves permission to simply feel good. To rest. To play. To want. This is the work I do: helping you remember what it feels like to be truly alive in your own life.
What was the last thing that made you feel genuinely, physically joyful? Tell me below.

From my own journey, I’ve realized that joy isn’t something you earn after ticking off tasks or reaching milestones. It’s much more than a reward; it’s a state of being that exists within us at all times, waiting to be felt. I used to believe that only after completing my to-do list or achieving success could I relax and be joyful. But constantly chasing accomplishments left me exhausted and disconnected from what really matters—my inner happiness. What truly changed for me was embracing the idea that joy doesn’t depend on external achievements. This mindset shift helped me prioritize simple pleasures like rest, play, and allowing myself to want enjoyable experiences without guilt. I now understand that high-performing women, in particular, often struggle to give themselves permission to feel good simply because they’re conditioned to push harder and value productivity over wellbeing. Practicing mindfulness and tuning into my body’s signals helped deepen this connection. For instance, recalling moments that made me genuinely joyful—like a heartfelt laugh with a friend or a peaceful walk in nature—reminded me that joy lives in the present moment, not in future accomplishments. I urge you to reflect on the last thing that brought you real, physical joy. How did it feel in your body? How did it reshape your day? Allowing yourself these joyful moments can be revolutionary. It helps reclaim your power, pleasure, and worth beyond societal pressures. Remember, joy is not earned; it’s always available as an intrinsic part of your being.
