Many people assume that precious metals like gold or gemstones like diamonds are the rarest materials in the universe. However, when you consider the cosmic scale, wood emerges as extraordinarily rare. This is because wood originates from living organisms—specifically, trees—which require very particular conditions to exist. Unlike gold or diamonds, which are formed through geological or cosmic processes and are widely distributed across planets and asteroids, wood is a product of complex biological evolution and ecosystems. From my observations and experiences, the rarity of wood in the universe underscores the unique conditions that make life on Earth possible. Despite the vastness of space, no other planets confirmed so far have shown evidence of life forms capable of producing wood or similar organic materials. Even with advanced telescopes and space probes, scientists have not detected organic life that produces wood-like structures elsewhere. Since this material is irreplaceable on a universal scale, responsible forest management and conservation become critical to preserving this precious resource.
