First love theory?

2025/11/14 Edited to

... Read moreThe 'three meeting theory' is something that’s been popping up a lot in discussions about destiny and relationships lately, and honestly, it’s got me completely rethinking things. The core idea is that you're meant to meet your true soulmate or life partner at least three significant times in your life, often in different contexts or phases, before you truly connect for good. It's not just about bumping into someone casually, but about deep, meaningful encounters that eventually lead to a lasting bond. For so many of us, especially when we're navigating the complexities of dating and long-term relationships, this theory can really resonate. It often makes us look back at past connections, particularly with a 'first love' or a 'high school sweetheart.' You start to wonder, 'What if that initial spark wasn't just young love, but a sign of something deeper that we just weren't ready for yet?' It’s easy to romanticize those early feelings and imagine a world where things might have turned out differently if timing had been on our side. My own experience recently just threw this whole theory into overdrive for me. I was playing around with the 'Astra App,' you know, one of those apps that claim to give you a 'soulmate drawing' based on your birth chart or whatever. I didn't expect much, but when the drawing came up, it was eerily similar to my ex – my high school sweetheart! And then it boldly declared '99% compatible' with my zodiac signs. Talk about a curveball! Suddenly, all those old feelings and the 'three meeting theory' started swirling in my head. Was that first meeting in high school one of the three? And what about the other two? This whole situation has left me in such a tricky spot. I have a 'boyfriend' now, someone I care about deeply, but this 'soulmate drawing' and the idea of my 'ex' being my true destiny is just constantly on my mind. How do you even begin to tell your current partner that an app is making you question if you're with the wrong person? It feels incredibly unfair to him, but also, how do you ignore such a strong, albeit digital, 'sign'? It makes me wonder if others have gone through something similar – where a fun app or a popular theory suddenly makes you doubt everything you thought you knew about your relationships. It’s a tough dilemma. On one hand, you don't want to throw away a good thing for a mystical drawing or a romantic theory. On the other hand, the thought sticks in your head: 'What if?' Maybe the 'three meeting theory' is less about literal meetings and more about acknowledging a deeper, recurring connection that you keep encountering, whether it's through a person or even a feeling. Ultimately, I'm trying to figure out if these apps and theories are just fun distractions, or if they sometimes tap into real, unresolved feelings about past loves and our search for 'the one.' It's a lot to unpack, and I'd love to hear if anyone has advice on navigating this relationship maze.
