For daily care, I focus on moisturizing my scalp with a light oil and spritzing the locs themselves with a hydrating leave-in spray. At night, I tie them up in a satin bonnet to prevent frizz and preserve the style. These locs have been my go-to for travel, especially during my recent adventures. They free up so much time that I'd usually spend on my hair, allowing me to fully immerse myself in exploring new places. They hold up beautifully in different climates, and a quick refresh spray is all it takes to keep them looking vibrant. Plus, styling them is a breeze – a simple half-up, half-down, a messy bun, or just letting them hang free all look fantastic. Typically, I keep my butterfly locs in for about 4-6 weeks. When it's time to take them down, I make sure to do it gently to avoid any breakage. I usually snip the extension hair below my natural hair and then carefully unravel the wraps.
