My review:

Omg, this book is incredible from beginning to end. Shalaine reminds me so much of myself and Truce is genuinely heaven sent. 😩 I loved that the characters were in great detail and served a purpose. If you’re looking for a love story this is your book. It was so heartfelt and warming every woman deserves a man of his kind. Read now you will not regret it.

... Read moreIt's not every day a book comes along that genuinely *carries you away*, but Natisha Raynor's 'Carried Away' did just that for me. My initial five-star rating truly reflects the magic this story holds, and I wanted to dive a bit deeper into why I believe it's an absolute must-read, especially for those who, like me, crave a romance that resonates on a profound level and leaves a lasting impression. From the very first chapter, I was completely invested in Shalaine's journey. What made her so compelling was her authenticity; I found myself seeing so much of my own experiences reflected in her struggles and triumphs. She's a character you can truly root for, and her growth throughout the narrative — from moments of vulnerability to burgeoning strength — is incredibly inspiring. Then there's Truce. Oh, Truce! He embodies everything you could wish for in a leading man. He's not just 'heaven sent' as I mentioned before; he's understanding, fiercely supportive, and possesses a quiet strength that made my heart flutter. The way he treats Shalaine, supporting her dreams and loving her unconditionally, truly sets a new standard for fictional heroes. It’s rare to find a male lead so perfectly balanced between strong and tender. Fun fact, seeing the book cover on my e-reader, with the striking image of a man with braids and a beard, felt like the perfect visual representation of Truce's alluring and protective presence that Natisha Raynor brings to life so vividly on the pages. The blue and purple tones of the cover art also hint at the emotional depth and richness of their love story, creating a visually appealing match to the narrative's soul. The romance between Shalaine and Truce isn't just about grand gestures; it's built on a foundation of genuine connection, respect, and overcoming past hurts. It’s the kind of heartfelt and warming love story that delves into the complexities of relationships, leaving you feeling hopeful and a little bit teary-eyed in the best way possible. Natisha Raynor has a gift for crafting dialogue that feels real and intimate, making you feel like you're right there with the characters, experiencing every emotion alongside them. Their journey is a beautifully paced exploration of two souls finding their way to each other, proving that true love, with all its challenges and rewards, truly does conquer all. The way they navigate their individual pasts while building a shared future is truly captivating. If you're looking for a book that explores themes of healing, self-acceptance, and the power of finding a partner who truly sees and cherishes you for who you are, 'Carried Away' is absolutely it. It’s a romance that feels both epic in its scope and incredibly personal in its emotional impact. I’ve wholeheartedly recommended it to all my friends who appreciate a well-developed plot, rich characterization, and a love story that stays with you long after you've turned the final page. It’s the perfect escape for anyone needing a dose of feel-good romance with substance. And speaking of Natisha Raynor, I'm currently engrossed in her other work, 'Treacherous Twins, Justice.' While I haven't finished it yet, I can already tell it's going to be another stellar read. Her storytelling is consistently gripping, and I honestly don't anticipate anything less than another incredible experience from her. If you loved 'Carried Away,' keeping an eye out for her other compelling titles is definitely a good idea for your next read!
