pack an order with me~
Hey everyone! So many of you have been curious about how I pack an order with me! for my small business, especially when it comes to making it look super aesthetic. It's not just about getting the product safely to its destination; for me, it's about creating an entire experience for my customers from the moment they open their package. And trust me, it doesn't have to break the bank! First off, why bother with aesthetic packing? Well, in the world of *small business*, every detail counts. Your packaging is often the first physical interaction a customer has with your brand after they've made a purchase. It's an extension of your brand identity and a chance to make a lasting impression. A beautifully packaged item can turn a first-time buyer into a loyal customer and even encourage them to share their unboxing experience on social media – hello, free marketing! Here are some of my top tips for achieving that aesthetic small business packing look: Choose a Color Palette & Theme: Before you even think about materials, decide on a consistent look. Do you love minimalist pastels, vibrant pops of color, or rustic natural tones? For my stationery shop, I lean towards soft, calming colors that complement my products. This makes everything feel cohesive and intentional. Invest in Key Materials (Wisely!): Tissue Paper: This is a game-changer! It adds a layer of anticipation and can instantly elevate the unboxing. I usually choose a color that matches my brand or a neutral tone. Crinkle Paper/Shredded Fill: Great for protecting fragile items and adding volume. Again, pick a color that fits your aesthetic. Stickers & Labels: Branded stickers to seal tissue paper or close boxes are a must. They reinforce your brand and add a professional touch. Twine or Ribbon: A simple bow can make a huge difference! Natural twine gives a rustic feel, while satin ribbon adds elegance. Thank You Notes: A handwritten (or thoughtfully printed) thank you note is incredibly personal. It shows appreciation and encourages repeat business. I always try to include a small, unique detail here. The 'Unboxing' Experience: Think about what it feels like to open your package. Start with the outer packaging – a sturdy mailer or box. Line it with tissue paper or crinkle fill. Carefully secure your product, perhaps wrapping it in an extra layer of tissue or a cello bag if it's stationery. Add your thank you note on top, maybe tucked into a sticker. Seal everything with a branded sticker or a piece of twine. Consider a small freebie or sample if it makes sense for your brand! It’s all about layering and presentation. I often get asked, "How do you make it look so effortless?" The secret is planning and consistency. I have a dedicated packing station, and I ensure all my materials are readily available. This makes the packing orders small business aesthetic process much smoother and enjoyable for me, too! I've been working hard behind the scenes stocking up on new items and getting everything ready, and I'm so excited to announce that my shop reopens 01/23! Mark your calendars because I'll have some fresh new stationery goodies that I can't wait for you all to see and, of course, for me to pack an order with you for! Let me know in the comments what your favorite aesthetic packing tip is!
