Hey everyone! So glad you're here. I wanted to dive a little deeper into some of the pieces I've been working on, especially since I've noticed a lot of you are curious about the unique blend of nature and whimsy I love to explore. You might have seen glimpses of my art featuring a green iridescent stag beetle and maybe even noticed me surrounded by pumpkins in some of my initial shares – yes, that's me, finding inspiration everywhere! When I started this art account, I really wanted to showcase the diversity of my creative journey. The stag beetle piece, for instance, was such a joy to paint in watercolor. I was absolutely captivated by their metallic sheen and powerful form, and capturing that shimmer on paper was a fun challenge. I remember spending hours sketching its intricate shell, trying to get that perfect iridescent glow. It wasn't just about painting an insect; it was about bringing a tiny, often overlooked creature into the spotlight, giving it a majestic presence. And then there are the pumpkins! They hold such a special place in my heart, especially as autumn approaches. There's something inherently charming and cozy about them. While they don't appear directly with the stag beetle in a single piece (yet!), the idea of merging the earthy, comforting feel of pumpkins with the detailed, vibrant life of creatures like the stag beetle is something I often ponder. My studio often has seasonal decor, and pumpkins are a constant sight, sparking ideas for compositions that blend natural elements. Imagine a tiny stag beetle perched on a giant pumpkin – now there’s an idea! My goal is always to infuse my art with a sense of wonder, whether it's through the fantastical transformation of Daphne into a laurel tree, or the ethereal beauty of a Polyphemus Moth Faerie. Speaking of faeries, the Polyphemus Moth Faerie was a digital adventure! I loved playing with the vibrant spring green and those fluffy golden antennae. It's a different medium but the same spirit of celebrating nature's magic. And of course, the Daphne and Apollo illustration was a deep dive into mythology, bringing a beloved story to life with my watercolor pencils. I truly believe art should evoke emotion and curiosity. My aim is to create pieces that make you pause, smile, and maybe even look at the world around you a little differently. Whether it's the intricate patterns on a beetle's back or the simple beauty of a pumpkin patch, there's art everywhere if you look closely. I'm so excited to share more of these moments and processes with you all. What natural elements do you find most inspiring? Let me know in the comments! Your ideas often spark new creative paths for me. Thanks for joining me on this artistic adventure!
