My friday the 13th art 💀

Hey horror art lovers! It’s truly the best feeling to share my spooky creations, especially on Friday the 13th. As you saw in my post, my latest collection features some terrifying Jason Voorhees drawings and other chilling horror illustrations. I’ve always been drawn to the dark aesthetic of goth art and the iconic imagery of skull art, but there’s something extra special about diving into the world of Camp Crystal Lake. When I started these drawings, I really wanted to capture the menacing, silent threat that Jason embodies. It’s not just about drawing a mask; it’s about conveying the atmosphere of dread and suspense from the Friday the 13th movies. For these pieces, I experimented with different shading techniques to give his infamous hockey mask that worn, almost rusted look, and used heavy inks for the deep shadows that make him so unsettling. I often listen to horror movie soundtracks while I’m illustrating – it really helps set the mood! A lot of you asked, "What else should I draw from Camp Crystal Lake?" That’s a fantastic question! The camp itself is a character, isn't it? I've been thinking about focusing on some of the lesser-seen elements: maybe the decrepit cabins, the misty lake at dawn, or even some of the unfortunate victims in iconic movie scenes (nothing too graphic, of course, just the spooky vibe!). I’m also considering doing a series on different versions of Jason throughout the films, exploring how his look evolved.
