How I make my custom Pokemon cards
Materials list: https://amzn.to/4pd4gMF
I changed the process I use to make my custom Pokemon drippy skull trading cards! I use double sided glossy photo paper now and it works really well after taking FOREVER to figure out how to line up the front and the back of the card when I print them, no more adhesive. Here is kinda how I do it now (with a new drippy Pokemon I haven’t really debuted yet but I guess this is a sneak peak of him 👀 lol) anyway I have the materials list for everything in my prof so u can make your own cards with your own drawings too🙌 #customtradingcards #custompokemoncards #pokemoncards #customcard #spookypokemon
Creating custom Pokémon cards can be an incredibly rewarding project, especially when you add your own artistic flair to each card. One of the biggest challenges I faced was achieving perfect alignment between the front and back of the card when printing. Switching to double-sided glossy photo paper made a huge difference — not only does it give the card a professional-looking sheen, but it also eliminates the need for glue or other adhesives. In my current process, I carefully design both sides of the card digitally, making sure the measurements and margins are exact. This ensures that when printed, both sides line up perfectly. A useful tip is to test print on regular paper first to check alignment before using the glossy photo paper, which can be more expensive. Another important aspect is selecting the right type of photo paper. Double-sided glossy photo paper provides a sturdy feel and vibrant color reproduction that really makes custom artwork pop. When printing, using a printer that supports double-sided printing and high-quality color output is essential to achieve the best results. If you're like me and enjoy adding personal touches, try experimenting with different themes beyond classic Pokémon designs. For example, I introduced a 'drippy skull' Pokémon design that adds a unique, spooky aesthetic. This not only increases the visual appeal but also allows your cards to stand out in your collection or among friends. Finally, having a clear materials list and a step-by-step workflow can save you time and frustration. I’ve shared my complete materials list online to help others gather everything they need before starting from scratch. From the specific type of photo paper to the printer settings, having this reference makes the creative process smoother and more enjoyable. Crafting custom Pokémon cards is a fantastic way to combine creativity with a love for the game. With patience and the right tools, anyone can produce durable, eye-catching cards that showcase their artistic vision and passion for the Pokémon world.
