BUY💰 or BYE👋🏼

♻️ Today I went thrifting and found a bunch of super cute gym shorts. I was able to try all of them on to get a good feel for them and it was good that I did because although all of them are cute, some just didn’t fit as well as I wanted them too.

🩳 TODAY : I only ended up getting the purple shorts

🔔 Stay tuned to see the rest of what I thrifted!!

... Read moreThrifting for gym shorts is a smart way to find unique, stylish activewear while keeping expenses low. When shopping thrifted athletic wear, fit is paramount — even if a pair looks great, discomfort or poor fit (such as shorts being too tight in the thighs) can make them a 'bye' rather than a 'buy.' Pay attention to details such as fabric stretch, waistband comfort, and how the shorts feel during movement or sitting. Trying them on, as the author did, is key to assessing fit accurately. Also, consider the color and style that best complement your workout wardrobe — sometimes a bold color like purple can add a fresh pop to your fitness outfit. Because thrifting often involves one-of-a-kind items, it's important to prioritize versatility and practicality alongside trends. Look for shorts made from breathable, moisture-wicking materials suited for various activities from gym workouts to casual wear. Using hashtags such as #bigthriftenergy, #gymgirlessentials, and #ballinonabudget allows shoppers to connect with communities focused on budget-friendly, stylish fitness clothing. These groups offer inspiration, advice, and camaraderie for those building wardrobes sustainably. Ultimately, thrifting gym shorts offers both economic and environmental benefits. By choosing secondhand, you reduce waste and promote circular fashion. Just remember: the goal is to find pieces that feel flattering, fit well, and motivate you to stay active — making them a definite buy rather than a bye.
