Happy New Year, Lemon8 fam! 🎉 Kicking off 2024 by celebrating one of my all-time favorite video game characters: Leon S. Kennedy! Seriously, who else here is completely obsessed with him? For me, a new year always brings a fresh wave of appreciation for the heroes (and heartthrobs!) that make our gaming lives so much better, and Leon is definitely at the top of that list. What is it about Leon that just captivates so many of us? Is it his undeniable charm, even when he's knee-deep in a zombie apocalypse? Or perhaps his incredible resilience and quick thinking under pressure? From his rookie cop days in Raccoon City (Resident Evil 2) to his secret agent missions rescuing the President's daughter (Resident Evil 4), he’s always been the epitome of cool. I remember playing RE2 for the first time and being instantly drawn to his character – that fresh face thrown into an absolute nightmare, yet he somehow manages to keep his composure (mostly!). Then came Resident Evil 4, and honestly, Leon just solidified his status as an icon. His snarky comments, those amazing combat moves, and let's be real, his look in that game? Chef's kiss! The leather jacket and his signature floppy hair became legendary. It's not just about his good looks, though; it's the whole package. He's genuinely a good person trying to do the right thing in a world gone completely mad. He’s brave, loyal, and has a surprising amount of wit, which often provides much-needed comic relief in otherwise terrifying situations. And for those asking why he's considered 'hot,' well, where do I even begin? Beyond the rugged good looks and the sharp jawline, it's his personality that truly shines. He carries the weight of the world on his shoulders but never gives up. He's a protector, a survivor, and someone you genuinely root for. Plus, watching him pull off those acrobatic dodges and precise headshots? Pure cinematic gold! Every appearance, whether it's in a game or a CGI movie like 'Degeneration' or 'Vendetta,' just adds another layer to his legendary status. What are your favorite Leon Kennedy moments?
