Be Courageous

I apologize for slacking, I want to try to make a conscious effort to put out encouragement everyday. ☺️

Anyway, I wanted to talk about having courage. Tbh, I was never taught to be courageous and confident. The only time I only learned to be that way was during a dance performance, or during a professional/school presentation. At that time, I didn’t know that I should be courageous in all areas of my life. 🙂‍↔️

I was often timid, and didn’t stand up for myself. Now, I have to unlearn my “people pleaser” attitude and learn to stand up for me and what I believe in. And my worth most importantly. ✨

Don’t accept what you know is less than your worth. If someone is always bringing you down, stand up for yourself. Someone not treating you right, voice your feelings. If they respect you they’ll apologize and try to work it out, if not walk away. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Someone once said to me, “you better stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything”

If anything stand up for yourself. Don’t let people walk all over you, demand your respect, and set boundaries. Don’t go tearing others down and being an asshole. 👏🏽

Be confident and courageous when it comes to your peace, happiness, beliefs, and values. Love yall! Be encouraged and take the world by storm ⛈️

... Read moreCourage is a vital aspect of personal growth and empowers us to stand up for ourselves. It's not limited to grand gestures but can be practiced daily through small, meaningful actions. Cultivating courage often starts with self-awareness—recognizing when you’re compromising your values for the sake of pleasing others. Many find it empowering to set boundaries in their relationships. This could be asserting your needs in a conversation, navigating difficult situations, or simply saying 'no' when necessary. Remember that those who respect you should celebrate your choices, not undermine them. Reading motivational literature or listening to inspirational talks can also be great resources for building courage. Engagement in communities that promote empowerment, such as workshops or online forums, can offer insights and support that bolster your confidence. Ultimately, being courageous means embracing your true self and understanding that your worth is inherent. It involves actively choosing to uplift yourself and those around you. Live authentically, and remember that each moment is an opportunity to embody courage and create meaningful change in your life.
