You know, one of the things that always makes me smile is watching our fur babies, Kratos and Stash, completely zonked out. Kratos, our big tan dog, is a master napper! Seriously, if there was an Olympic medal for sleeping, he'd win gold every time. It's not uncommon to find him and Stash, our black and white cat, cuddled up together on the light-colored couch, completely oblivious to the world. Seeing them so peaceful just brings a sense of calm to our busy household. As a stay-at-home mom with a two-year-old, Odin, moments of quiet are precious. And having pets like Kratos and Stash around definitely adds to the chaos, but also to the joy. People often ask me how I manage a toddler and two pets. Honestly, it's all about routine and a lot of love! For example, Kratos, being 5 years old, still has plenty of energy, but he also needs his rest. Making sure he gets his regular walks and playtime is just as important as making sure Odin gets his outdoor time. Then, when it’s nap time for Odin, it’s usually prime sleeping time for Kratos too. Sometimes I wonder if they're in cahoots! Taking care of pets while managing a household and a little one means constantly finding pockets of time. I try to involve Odin in simple pet care tasks, like helping to fill their water bowl (with supervision, of course!). It teaches him responsibility and builds a bond between them. And for those curious about our furry family, Kratos is a sturdy, loving companion, and Stash is the queen of comfort, always finding the sunniest spot for her naps. Their presence truly makes our home feel complete. Beyond pet care, my SAHM journey is a whirlwind of discovery. While I mentioned I love to go out with Odin, there are plenty of days we have fun at home too. We've been exploring sensory bins, building epic block towers, and even having 'dance parties' in the living room – usually with Kratos wagging his tail in approval from his napping spot on the couch! Keeping a clean house is a big priority for me; it's hard to relax otherwise. But I've learned to pick my battles and appreciate the small victories, like a freshly vacuumed floor that will inevitably have toy cars on it again in an hour. Our love for traveling and adventuring is something I'm eager to share more about. Planning trips with a toddler requires next-level organization, but the memories we make are priceless. For our fur babies, travel usually means a trusted pet sitter or a family member steps in. We've considered taking Kratos on short trips, but for now, he enjoys his home comforts.
