When I helped with the siding in Part 2 of this project, it wasn’t just about improving the look and durability of the home — it was about creating a space that truly felt welcoming and personal to my bestie. One key thing I learned while working on siding upgrades is to carefully choose materials that complement the home's style while also offering protection from the elements. For example, vinyl siding is affordable and low-maintenance, while fiber cement siding gives a more upscale, durable finish. Watching my best friend’s face light up as the house transformed reinforced how much a well-chosen siding can elevate curb appeal and overall comfort. Another tip from this experience: always plan your timeline realistically. Siding installation involves weather considerations and sometimes unexpected challenges, so it’s good to stay flexible and keep communication open. Sharing these moments with my best friend made the whole process enjoyable and strengthened our bond. I’m excited to share that this is just Part 2 — stay tuned for Part 3, where we’ll tackle more DIY home upgrades. Working on a new home is definitely a journey full of surprises, skills, and memories, and I’m so glad to be part of it!
