Apple’s New Feature: RECORDING A PHONE CALL📞
Love this feature!
I truly wish this came out with the original iPhone lol because there have been so many times where this could’ve saved me! But I still think this is a really useful feature!! If you haven’t already you need to upgrade to iOS 18.1 it is finally out of beta testing!!
Let me know what you think!!
Okay, so like I mentioned, Apple's new call recording feature in iOS 18.1 is truly a game-changer! I’ve been playing around with it since the update and I seriously can't believe how intuitive and useful it is. If you've ever wished you could easily capture important details from a phone conversation, or just remember what was said, this is for you. First things first: how do you even start recording? It's super simple! When you’re on an active call, you’ll notice a new option on your screen, often represented by a sound wave icon. Just tap this button, and your iPhone will prompt you with a 'Call Recording' notification involving the Phone and Notes app. This is where it gets really smart! Before the recording actually begins, your iPhone automatically notifies the other party with an audible message stating, 'This Call Will Be Recorded.' This is a crucial privacy feature, so everyone on the call is aware. Once you confirm and the recording starts, your call screen will show a clear indication – usually a waveform and a timer – letting you know it's actively recording. I love that it’s so clear, no guessing if it’s working! It’s really seamless, just a quick tap and you're good to go, transforming your call in progress screen into a powerful tool. Now, the best part for me is what happens after the call. You don’t have to go digging around to find your recordings. Apple automatically integrates them into the Notes app. Yes, you heard that right! You’ll find a dedicated 'Call Recordings' folder created automatically in your Notes app. Inside, not only will you have the actual audio recording, but also a full transcript of the conversation! All transcripts from the call will be available, neatly organized. This means you can quickly scan through the text instead of re-listening to the entire call – talk about a productivity hack! I’ve already used this to quickly pull out action items and key details from my calls. It's like having a personal secretary for every conversation, making it a fantastic conversation notes app. A quick heads-up about availability: this feature rolled out with iOS 18.1, so make sure your device is updated. While the feature is fantastic, it's always good to be aware of local regulations regarding call recording, as different regions might have different consent laws. The automatic notification feature helps with this, ensuring transparency and addressing concerns like 'ios 18.1 call recording availability countries.' You can easily check your iOS 18.1 call recording feature status by simply updating and looking for the recording option during a call. Honestly, this isn't just about 'saving me' from forgetting things; it's about adding a whole new layer of convenience and peace of mind to phone calls. Whether it's for work, personal appointments, or just remembering funny anecdotes, having these conversations documented and easily searchable in the Notes app is a game-changer. Definitely update to iOS 18.1 and give this a try!

Imma record arguments word for word so I can highlight and have proof of what was said
