I graduated with my Associates Degree ! 🎓❤️

Yay ! I wanna say congratulations to all graduates ❤️ you deserve to feel loved and so special on your day because college isn’t easy! This is a great accomplishment I’m proud of you

Little transparency I wasn’t excited for graduation at all up until 2 days before because I was comparing my journey to everyone else’s. People who graduated high school when I did were already getting their bachelors and well I’m still working on that one. This just made me feel like I didn’t accomplish anything worth celebrating. I felt like the biggest failure for taking a year off.

Comparison really is the thief of joy , and the devil was working hard to dim my light. I almost just didn’t go. I spoke with a friend who reminded me that everyone is on their own path. God’s story for me isn’t going to be the same as my peers. Patience is important and my time is coming u just have to keep working and celebrate the victories as they come!

For anyone graduating with their Associates that feel like it’s not that big of a deal , it 100% is !! Only about 45% of people have an Associates degree and you’re apart of that !!! So celebrate and your time will come !

So whats next for me ? I’m currently at a 4 year university getting my Bachelor’s of Social Work. I actually just finished my first semester with all A’s 🥳 I’ll be getting my Masters as well I have so much more school ahead of me and I’m praying for success and strength during this next journey !

... Read moreOkay, fellow graduates and aspiring students! As someone who recently celebrated earning my Associate's Degree, I totally get those moments of doubt or wondering if it's "enough." But let me share a little more about why this milestone is truly something to be proud of, and how to make the most of it – especially when it comes to showing off your achievement! First off, let's tackle that burning question: "Is there a graduation for Associate's degrees?" The answer is a resounding YES! Most community colleges and universities offering Associate's programs absolutely hold graduation ceremonies. I know I was so caught up in my own head, comparing my journey to others, that I almost didn't appreciate my own ceremony. But stepping across that stage, hearing your name called, and seeing the pride in your loved ones' eyes? It's an unforgettable experience. It's a public acknowledgment of all your hard work, late-night study sessions, and perseverance. Please, if you have the chance, walk that stage! You've earned it. Now, let's talk about the practical side: "How do you proudly display your Associate's Degree on a resume?" This is super important because it's your professional calling card. You want to present it clearly and effectively. Here’s a simple way I learned to do it: Under an "Education" section, list it like this: Associate of Arts (or Science/Applied Science) in [Your Major] [Name of College/University], [City, State] [Graduation Date or Expected Graduation Date] For example: Associate of Science in Business Administration Community College of [Your City], Anytown, CA May 2024 You can also add relevant coursework or achievements if they're particularly strong and align with the job you're applying for. Don't underestimate its power – for many entry-level positions or as a stepping stone to a Bachelor's, an Associate's Degree shows dedication and foundational knowledge. It definitely counts as "completing college" in its own right, signifying you've met specific academic requirements and gained valuable skills. Many people wonder, "Is an Associate's Degree considered completing college?" Absolutely! It represents the completion of a post-secondary education program, typically requiring around 60 credits. Whether it's an Associate of Arts (AA), Associate of Science (AS), or Associate of Applied Science (AAS), each one signifies successful completion of a rigorous curriculum. An AS degree, for instance, usually focuses more on scientific and mathematical fields, preparing you for transfer into a Bachelor of Science program. It's a fantastic achievement that opens doors, whether you're entering the workforce directly or continuing your academic journey. For anyone asking about "Associate Degree graduation USA", the general sentiment is one of celebration and recognition across the country. While specifics might vary slightly by institution, the core message remains: you've earned a valuable credential. So, for those of you who might feel like your Associate's degree is just a stepping stone, remember it's a significant victory in itself. It demonstrates commitment, capability, and a solid foundation for your future endeavors. Whether you're moving on to a Bachelor's like me, or jumping straight into a career, embrace this accomplishment fully. You've worked hard, you've grown, and you truly deserve all the congratulations coming your way! Keep celebrating those victories, big and small!
