Let’s be friends on Goodreads!

I’ve been seeing so much more posts like this and I love it, I want to connect with more people on good reads to get some ideas of what books to read that aren’t so popular and bc i love seeing what other people are reading in general and getting motivated to read more once i see them reaching their challenge goal!

I have set my reading challenge for this year to be at 50 books, right now I am at 11, being that I just started officially reading again at the end of february going into march and have already read 11 books kind of proud of myself :’) also being that most the time i am reading is during my work breaks, on one of my days off, or at night!

Now I have my physical TBR to knock out and as well as my tbr on my kindle! Totaling over 100 books altogether just on my tbr!!!

Wish me luck.

Let’s connect on Goodreads and be friends 🫶🏽

... Read moreI seriously love seeing more posts about connecting on Goodreads! It's such a game-changer for my reading life, and I bet it can be for yours too. If you're like me and often find yourself thinking, 'I want reading' to be a bigger part of my routine, or you're eager to expand your literary horizons beyond the usual bestsellers, then joining a vibrant reading community on Goodreads is the answer. For me, the goal this year is 50 books, and I'm already at 11! It feels amazing, especially since I only really buckled down at the end of February. My little secret? I squeeze in reading during work breaks, my commute, or just before bed. Every little bit truly adds up! Setting that challenge goal on Goodreads really holds me accountable and seeing others reach their milestones is incredibly motivating. It's not just about the number, though; it's about the joy of discovery and the personal satisfaction. One of the biggest perks of connecting with fellow book lovers is finding those hidden gems. I'm always on the hunt for books that aren't necessarily topping every chart. When I see what my Goodreads friends are reading, or even just browsing their "read" shelves, I often stumble upon authors and titles I'd never heard of. For instance, I've been seeing a lot of buzz around authors like Stacy Willingham and Freida McFadden for thrillers, and Elle Kennedy for romance – these are great examples of what you can discover when you connect with diverse readers. It’s also inspiring to see profiles like Imani Alexis, with an impressive 296 books read, which just makes me want to dive into my own TBR even more! Speaking of TBRs, mine is currently over 100 books spread between physical copies and my Kindle! It can feel daunting, right? My strategy is to pick one or two from different genres to keep things fresh. I also don't hesitate to 'DNF' (Did Not Finish) a book if it's not grabbing me – life's too short to force yourself through a story you're not enjoying. A good 'shelfie club' on Goodreads means you can share your progress and get encouragement, making that massive TBR feel a little less intimidating. Goodreads isn't just for tracking; it's a powerful social platform. Beyond just adding friends, consider joining groups that align with your favorite genres or reading habits. You can discuss books, get recommendations, and even participate in group reads. If you're looking to 'reconnect' with your reading habit, or even connect Goodreads with other apps like your e-reader for seamless updates, exploring all its features can really enhance your experience. Don't be shy about posting your progress or asking for recommendations – that's how we build our community! So, whether you're working towards your 2024 reading challenge, searching for authors like Stacy Willingham, Freida McFadden, or Elle Kennedy, or just wanting to find your next great read, let's make Goodreads our go-to 'reading community' hub. Drop your Goodreads username below or tell me what you're currently reading! Let’s inspire each other and conquer those reading goals together!
