Every dog and cat owner in the Bangkok area must take a pet, register and bury a microchip, to create a central database, help track stragglers and prevent pet abandonment.

To "Register a Pet" and obtain "Animal Identification (Ks.3)."
- Owner ID card
- Register of houses where animals live.
- Vaccination credentials
- Sterilization credentials (if any)
- Letter of consent from the lessor (in case of tower / condo)
- Power of attorney (if someone else takes action instead)
⏰. Registration deadline.
- In 120 days since the animal's birthday.
- Within 30 days of bringing the animals to Bangkok.

- 20-80 sqm > > 1 pet
- 80 sqm or more > > Not more than 2 pets
📍 house / land
- No more than 20 square wah > > 2 pets
- Area from 20-50 square wah > > 3 pets

- 100 square wah or more > > Up to 6 pets
⚠️ if raising exceeds the amount before 10 Jan 69 → Must notify the district office within 90 days (between 10 Jan-9 Apr 69)
⚖️. Related legal clauses
- Herders for distribution, farms, cafes, animal shops must comply with the provisions. Entities harmful to health 2018.
- If the ban is violated, a fine not exceeding 25,000 baht (according to the Public Health Act 1992, section 29).
