This is a common concern expressed by many female solo travelers, highlighting that Istanbul may not always feel like the safest or most comfortable destination for solo female adventurers. Interestingly, the Blue Mosque was the only place where I experienced genuine peace without any unsolicited attention, which made visiting it a memorable and positive highlight of the trip. If you’re considering solo travel in Istanbul, it’s vital to prepare mentally and financially. Researching locations that are more female-friendly, traveling during less crowded times, and possibly connecting with local guides or groups might help enhance your experience. Solo travel is highly personal, and while Istanbul offers so much in terms of culture and history, it’s essential to weigh these factors and decide what aligns best with your comfort and travel style.
