What did they do to these skins man!!! And I’m going to make this clear bc on my TT a bunch of people are like coming at me for saying this I as in ME think they look silly and goofy it’s again MY opinion I just think they aren’t supposed to be animated like that which is why they do not look right in my opinion. #foryou #fortnite #strangerthings #skins #viral
When I first saw some of the latest Fortnite skins hit the store, my jaw literally dropped – and not in a good way! I just kept thinking, 'These skins look GOOFY!' It’s not just one or two, but a whole trend that feels… off. I've been a huge fan of Fortnite's creativity for ages, but lately, it feels like they're missing the mark with some of the character designs and animations. It makes me wonder if I'm getting old or if the game's aesthetic is genuinely shifting in a direction I don't quite understand. What truly makes a skin 'goofy' in my eyes? It's often a combination of factors. Sometimes, it's the proportions, where characters look either too stretched or too squashed. Other times, it's the animations – skins that move in ways that feel unnatural or overly exaggerated, taking away from the seriousness (or even the fun) of the game. Then there are the themes; while I appreciate variety, some crossovers or original designs just don’t seem to fit the Fortnite universe, making them feel out of place and, well, silly. It’s like they’re trying too hard to be unique and end up being unintentionally comical. I’ve seen a lot of discussions on social media, especially on platforms like TikTok and Reddit, where players are voicing similar frustrations. It’s not just me feeling this way, which is somewhat reassuring. Many feel that the charm of some older skins, which were often sleek, thematic, or iconic, is being lost in favor of designs that prioritize novelty over quality. This can really impact immersion. When your character looks more like a meme than a formidable opponent, it changes the entire vibe of the match. It makes you question whether certain design choices are truly for the players or for generating viral moments. It’s a tricky balance for developers, I'm sure. They need to keep the content fresh and appealing to a broad audience, but there's a fine line between innovative and just plain bizarre. What I personally look for in a Fortnite skin is something that feels cohesive with the game's style, has cool details, and moves fluidly. When a skin just looks 'goofy' because its movements are clunky or its design is disproportionate, it makes me less likely to even consider purchasing it, no matter how rare or 'exclusive' it is. I want to feel cool and capable, not like I’m running around as a cartoon character that stumbled into the wrong game. Ultimately, my hope is that the developers listen to community feedback regarding these design choices. There's so much potential for amazing, creative skins that don't lean into the overly goofy aesthetic. What are your thoughts? Have you encountered any Fortnite skins recently that made you think, 'Wow, that's just… goofy!'? I'd love to hear which ones and why you feel that way. Maybe together, we can figure out what makes a truly great Fortnite skin!
