a year older a year wiser?
A year older. A year braver. A year more me.
Turning 26 feels heavier than I expected, but in a good way.
This year held so many versions of me.
The girl who graduated from uni, relieved but unsure of what was next.
The girl who went for her first creator event, did her first live stream and became an affiliate.
The girl who decided to show up for herself physically, starting a fitness routine not to “change” her body, but to rebuild discipline and self-trust.
I got my first job.
I learned. I tried. I doubted myself.
And then I made the scary choice to quit, not because I failed, but because I finally listened to myself.
There were days I felt lost.
Days I questioned my pace, my decisions, my worth.
But in all the ups and downs, I found something quieter and deeper: myself.
I learned that growth isn’t always about moving forward, sometimes it’s about stopping, reflecting, and choosing again.
That being strong doesn’t mean having it all figured out.
And that trusting yourself is a muscle you build, one hard decision at a time.
So here’s to 26.
To every risk I took.
Every breakdown that turned into a breakthrough.
Every moment I chose courage over comfort.
I’m still learning. Still becoming.
But I’m proud of how far I’ve come and excited for the woman I’m growing into. 🤍✨
Happy birthday to me.
Turning 26 was not just about a number; it marked a turning point where I chose to seek new adventures despite uncertainties. While some moments felt heavy with doubt, I found that facing challenges head-on helped me grow stronger. From attending creator events to quitting my first job to follow my true path, each decision taught me to trust my instincts more deeply. I also learned that growth is not always linear. Sometimes, stopping to reflect and reevaluate your goals is critical. Establishing a fitness routine wasn’t about changing my appearance but rebuilding discipline and self-trust—a lesson I carry forward in all areas of life. This journey taught me that courage doesn’t mean having all the answers but continuing to move forward despite not knowing what’s ahead. Embracing every setback as a breakthrough and every choice as a step toward becoming my authentic self has been invaluable. In sharing this, I hope to inspire others turning points to embrace the beautiful complexity of growth, reminding you that it’s okay to be a work in progress. Every year older is indeed a year wiser when you choose to face life with bravery and self-kindness.
