planning a day trip in macau? here’s what i did 🤍

went in with a super packed itinerary… but somehow still managed to cover everything i wanted (no joke it was a RUSH)

started off just exploring — then halfway through i saw Stanley Ho’s pose on xhs and… ya i had to try it HAHA

it literally felt like i travelled the world in a day — paris, venice, london all back to back

caught the ✨ Tree of Prosperity light show during lunch time (showtimes every 30 mins)

ended the day at a night market, just walking around and soaking in the vibes before heading back

and yes… took the high-speed rail straight back to Guangzhou after

comment 👀 if you want the exact route from guangzhou to macau

Macao

... Read moreHaving visited Macau on a whirlwind day trip, I can say it’s amazing how this small city packs so much charm and variety in such a compact area. One of the highlights was definitely feeling like I traveled through Europe without leaving Macau, thanks to iconic spots like The Venetian and The Parisian hotels, where the architecture and ambiance bring a slice of Italy and France right to the city center. It’s worth mentioning the unique local experience as well. At the historic St. Dominic's Church and the famous Ruins of Saint Paul's, I soaked in centuries of cultural heritage, which added a rich dimension to the trip beyond the glitz of modern casinos like the legendary Casino Lisboa. Also, don’t miss trying café vong kei’s legendary coffee and pork buns—classic Macau flavors that perfectly complement your explorations. Timing your visit to catch the Tree of Prosperity light show is a must; it’s a spectacular display that happens every 30 minutes around lunchtime, giving you a magical break amidst sightseeing. Ending your day at a local night market provides a fantastic opportunity to immerse yourself in the city's evening vibes, sampling street food and picking up souvenirs. If you’re traveling from Guangzhou, the high-speed rail is the most convenient way to get there and back, saving you time and allowing for a full, action-packed day. Planning your itinerary to include a mix of both iconic landmarks and authentic local experiences can really make the most out of your Macau day trip.

A Morning Treat at Lord Stow's Bakery Main
When in Macau, a visit to Lord Stow's Bakery is an absolute must, and there's no better place to experience it than at the original branch in the tranquil village of Coloane. Tucked away on a quiet street, this bakery, founded by Andrew Stow, feels less like a tourist hotspot and more like
