My sister and I totally bonded over our shared love for Gossip Girl, and planning our trip to New York City to see all the iconic spots was an absolute dream come true! If you're a fellow fan, trust me, you HAVE to experience these places for yourself. It feels like stepping right into the show! Grand Central Terminal: Serena's Grand Return First stop, Grand Central! Walking through those massive doors, you can almost hear the iconic voiceover welcoming Serena van der Woodsen back to New York. It's truly breathtaking, even if you're not looking for Serena. We spent some time just soaking in the grandeur, imagining her making her dramatic entrance and her first meeting with Dan Humphrey. It's bustling, so my tip is to go a bit earlier in the morning to avoid the biggest crowds if you want to snag a good photo. Don't forget to look up at the ceiling – it's gorgeous! Ladurée: Blair Waldorf's Sweetest Indulgence The thought of Blair Waldorf and her beloved macarons immediately brought us to Ladurée. Seriously, you can't go to NYC on a Gossip Girl pilgrimage without trying these! They have several locations, but we found one that felt just right for a little treat. Picking out the different colors and flavors was so much fun, and every bite felt like a little piece of luxury, just like Blair would have wanted. It's a perfect spot for a quick, elegant snack and a photo op that screams 'Upper East Side chic.' The Metropolitan Museum of Art Steps: Where All the Drama Unfolds Ah, the Met Steps! This was probably my favorite spot. Sitting there, just like Blair and her crew, gossiping and people-watching, felt incredibly surreal. The Metropolitan Museum of Art itself is stunning, but for a Gossip Girl fan, those steps are the real attraction. We grabbed some coffee and just sat there for a good hour, observing everyone and imagining all the juicy conversations that must have happened there. It's a great spot to take a break, enjoy the view of Fifth Avenue, and channel your inner queen bee. You don't even need to go into the museum to enjoy this classic GG experience. Just remember, it can get crowded, so be patient for that perfect shot! The Empire Hotel: Chuck Bass's Domain Seeing The Empire Hotel lit up at night was so cool! Knowing it was Chuck Bass's residence, owned by his father, added an extra layer of mystique. While we didn't stay there (a girl can dream, right?), we definitely checked out the lobby and had a drink at the bar, which felt very 'Chuck.' It's sophisticated and stylish, and you can definitely feel the luxurious vibe. Even if you just pop in for a quick look or a photo outside, it’s a must-see for any fan of the show's resident bad boy. Dumbo: The Humphrey's Brooklyn Escape Finally, we ventured into Dumbo in Brooklyn. This area gives you those iconic shots of the Manhattan Bridge and is instantly recognizable as the neighborhood where the Humphrey's Brooklyn residence was located. It’s a bit of a contrast to the Upper East Side, with its cobblestone streets and industrial-chic vibe, but it’s absolutely beautiful. We got some amazing photos with the bridge in the background and enjoyed exploring the local shops and cafes. It's a great way to see another side of NYC and appreciate the full scope of the Gossip Girl world, from Serena's glamorous Manhattan to Dan's more artistic Brooklyn. It’s a gorgeous spot for a leisurely walk and some truly Instagram-worthy pictures.
