adding spikes and studs is FUN, ridiculously CHEAP, and WAY EASY!!!!!!!! it is one of my favorite ways to modify my clothes
i got this underbust corset years ago secondhand and it was lowkey falling apart and the bones were popping out so after some stitches for that, this is how i added spikes (using the screw on type)
step 1: figure out where and what you want to spike, make even markings (i use white eyeliner) wherever you’d like them
step 2: poke a TINY hole right in the middle of your mark, you can use whatever you like. i use a seam ripper that comes with any basic sewing kit.
step 3: shove the base of the spike from the inside until the whole screw is exposed, and screw on the spike with your hand!! that is literally it!!!
