And the classic Martian Manhunter (J'onn J'onzz) stands as a pillar of the Justice League with his vast array of abilities. Aqualad also brings a fresh dynamic to the aquatic world. But it's not just heroes! Some of the most compelling characters are those with a moral gray area or even outright villainy. Killmonger from Black Panther lore, for example, is a complex character with a tragic backstory that makes you understand his motivations, even if you don't condone his actions. And then there's Black Manta, Aquaman's archenemy, whose iconic helmet and relentless drive make him a truly memorable foe.
