Who I am in Christ: I am Empowered by Gods Grace

✨ Who I Am in Christ: Fixing My Identity Crisis Through Truth ✝️

This series was birthed out of a very real, very recent season where I lost myself…

In a relationship.

In people’s opinions.

In who I thought I had to be.

I started carrying shame that didn’t belong to me, and believing lies about who I was and what I was worth.

Recently, I went back to the basics and reconnected spiritually. lol

And God started reminding me that my identity isn’t something I have to figure out.

It’s something I already have in Him.

As I work through rediscovering who I am, I’ve been creating these little slide decks for myself.

And honestly… I felt like maybe they could help someone else too.

So here’s ✨ Day 22 of 50 — Empowered by God’s Grace ✨

We talk a lot about resisting the enemy…

but we don’t always talk about where the strength comes from.

This passage doesn’t start with striving.

It starts with grace.

Not the kind you earn.

Not the kind you unlock once you “get it together.”

But the kind God gives freely when we come to Him humbly.

And somehow, that grace does more than cover us —

it empowers us to stand our ground.

So today’s reminder:

You’re not fighting in your own strength.

You’re standing in God’s.

📖 James 4:6–7

💭 What changes when I stop trying to prove my strength and start trusting His?

💾 Save this for the moments you feel weak or overwhelmed.

💬 Comment “GRACE” if you’re choosing alignment over striving today.

... Read moreThroughout my journey of rediscovering my identity in Christ, I've realized how crucial it is to embrace grace rather than relying solely on personal effort. One life-changing experience involved a season when I felt overwhelmed and powerless amidst challenges. Instead of pushing harder, I chose to lean into God’s grace, remembering James 4:6-7 which reminds us that God gives grace to the humble and empowers us to resist the enemy. This grace isn’t about perfection or having everything figured out; it’s about coming to God as we are, humbly trusting that His strength is sufficient. I’ve found that when I stop striving to prove myself, I gain a peace and confidence that surpasses understanding. This surrender opens the door to God’s empowerment, allowing me to stand firm even in moments of weakness. Practically, I started creating affirmations that remind me daily of this truth, speaking over my thoughts that I am covered by God’s authority and supported by His grace. It acts as a spiritual armor that steadies me against fear and discouragement. What also helps is pausing to pray for God’s continued strength and alignment rather than control, choosing humility over pride. Living empowered by God’s grace means recognizing that the enemy’s attempts to intimidate or overpower me will fail because my identity is anchored in a love and protection far greater than any external force. This ongoing alignment brings freedom from shame and false identities imposed by others or even ourselves. If you’re facing an identity crisis or feeling weighed down by the world’s expectations, I encourage you to remember that grace meets you exactly where you are. You don’t have to earn it or fix yourself first; God’s grace empowers you to stand your ground and walk confidently in the truth of who you are in Christ.
