Goodbye old habits, hello new me ✝️

After over seven years as a full-time stay-at-home mom, I’ve officially returned to the 9-5 world.

It’s been an adjustment — for me, for my family, for my mindset. I’m juggling meetings, meal prep, deadlines, and drop-offs, and learning (sometimes the hard way) that balance doesn’t mean doing everything perfectly. It just means keeping things moving.

Leaving the SAHM chapter wasn’t easy. That time mattered. I grew in ways a resume doesn’t capture. But this next chapter matters, too.

To anyone else making a similar transition: it’s okay if it feels overwhelming. It’s okay if you’re excited and nervous at the same time. You’re not starting over — you’re bringing all your experience with you.

Here’s to growth, grit, and grace.

It’s normal to feel a mix of excitement and apprehension as you balance new professional responsibilities with family commitments. Remember, the experience gained from motherhood is invaluable and carries over into your career—it cultivates patience, multitasking skills, and emotional intelligence. Many women find that integrating faith into their daily routine provides strength and perspective during such transitions. For example, reflecting on scriptures like 1 Corinthians 7:36-38 can inspire grace and courage, encouraging you to trust in your journey. Connecting with communities such as 7-Day Faith & Fast gatherings can offer additional support and deepen your spiritual growth alongside your personal and professional development. Practically, creating a flexible schedule that balances meetings, meal prep, and school drop-offs can ease daily stress. It’s important to recognize that balance does not mean perfection but progress, focusing on what moves your family and career goals forward. Embracing vulnerability and sharing your experiences with others—like through hashtags #christianmomma or #embracevulnerability—can build a supportive network of women facing similar challenges. Ultimately, your transition is a continuation of your growth, grit, and grace. You’re not starting over; you are bringing the richness of years spent nurturing your family into this next chapter of your life, shaping a new but equally meaningful identity.
