Feelings After Watching: Eternity

"To choose between your first love of death and your present love of old age, who would you choose?"

This is the high concept of the story that has caught our attention since we first saw the advertisement, because it's the question that we've always wondered if we had a situation like this, which answer is the best, and when you use a surreal setting to tell you a deeper idea like this, it's even more appealing (something we've lost).

At the end, we felt that our view was more broadened than before. The movie told us very well. It made us understand everyone, whether the ex-husband, the current husband, or the protagonist himself (like not to make anyone a villain). Because it was not easy, and it was inevitable to be painless. In the end, when the heroine made a choice, we had no questions, understood everything, and felt no reluctance at all.

We like the reason Joan chose Larry and clearly understand why going through the five stages of grief wasn't easy. In Joan's entire life, she always had to go forward, but despite her old age, her love for Luke remained, which is understandable, because it was the feeling of grief that became part of it and would stick with her forever.

But Joan stepped forward, grew up to be not the young Joan Luke once knew, while Luke stopped at the same place (we were so sad).

In the end, Joan chose the love that transcended and grew up with her. It wasn't because she loved someone more, but because life brought her so far that it wasn't always with Luke anymore.
