Telling myself starting today that taking days off is productive !! Right? Sometimes I feel lazy when I take a break or unproductive. It’s hard for me to rest because I get jittery when I feel I’m not working towards my goal. I’ll go several months without going out and doing things because I’m so in grind mode all day, everyday. I’m genuinely happy with that because I just wanna make it to my goal and working toward it does make me really happy. I LOVE MY ENERGY FOR ME ❤️ I rather work on my goals, & enjoy my peace in life, that’s it. (I used to go out a lot btw, I lived that era already lol)

Everyone keeps telling me to rest but I’m not tired..Is this a bad thing? Should I give more time to others and have fun with them (I have fun with myself though😭 I literally go outside everyday and do what I like) ?

I’m married, I go outside a lot, I garden, work on my business and I’m genuinely happy.

At times peoples energy are the only reason I am not. They can drag me with their issues since I always resolve my issues on my own without going to anyone about them besides my husband if I need to vent, if it’s that bad.

Idk…I truly just have found peace in myself, and others have not, so I tend stay away now as to not be around people who need me but a lot of people miss me, so I’ll try to give more time to others that love me. Idk.. Lol

My besties are actually people who genuinely are understanding and I actually WANT to see them more because they’re so positive and full of light!but that’s about all of who I want to see more because when we get together , we also talk goals lol

... Read moreIt's truly inspiring to hear your perspective on being a 'happy workaholic' who thrives in grind mode and genuinely enjoys the journey without feeling tired or overwhelmed. Your ability to find peace within your ambitious pursuits, balance personal energy, and maintain positive connections is remarkable. It offers a fresh take on what productivity and self-care can look like. However, for many, the path of a relentless workaholic can quickly lead to overwhelm, even when they love their work. The question 'why is a relentless workaholic quickly overwhelmed?' is one I've grappled with myself, and it's something I see countless others struggle with daily. It's easy to push past limits, especially when driven by passion, but understanding the mechanisms behind overwhelm can help us all build more sustainable habits. From my own experience and observations, one major factor is often mental fatigue. Our brains, much like our bodies, have limits. Constant problem-solving, decision-making, and being 'on' without sufficient breaks can deplete cognitive resources. This isn't just about feeling tired; it manifests as reduced creativity, difficulty focusing, and a general sense of being swamped by tasks that once felt manageable. Our minds need downtime to process information, consolidate memories, and simply rest. Without it, that feeling of being quickly overwhelmed becomes inevitable. Then there's the physical toll. Long hours often mean sacrificing sleep, healthy meals, and regular exercise. While you might not feel it immediately, this sustained stress response can lead to chronic fatigue, a weakened immune system, and an increased risk of anxiety or depression. Our bodies are constantly sending signals, and ignoring them can force a slowdown through illness or sheer exhaustion. It's a reminder that physical well-being is foundational to mental resilience. Emotional exhaustion also plays a significant role. Constantly giving, whether to work, family, or friends, without adequate replenishment can deplete our emotional reserves. This can lead to irritability, a lack of empathy, and a feeling of detachment. We might find ourselves less patient, less present, and generally less joyful, even in activities we usually love. This emotional drain contributes heavily to the overall sensation of being overwhelmed and unable to cope. Social isolation, even for those who cherish solo time, can be another silent contributor. While you've found your peace and selectively engage with positive friends, many workaholics unintentionally neglect their social circles. Humans are wired for connection, and while solo time is crucial, a complete lack of meaningful social interaction can lead to feelings of loneliness and a lack of emotional support, adding another layer to the feeling of being overwhelmed and unmoored. Your message, beautifully echoed by the reminder that 'taking care of yourself is productive,' couldn't be more accurate. It's not about being lazy; it's about smart, sustainable productivity. Proactive self-care – whether it's enjoying your garden, connecting with understanding friends, or simply taking a quiet moment – is crucial for preventing overwhelm. It's about refilling your cup before it's empty, allowing you to sustain that drive and passion happily and effectively, rather than getting quickly overwhelmed. For many, understanding why overwhelm happens is the first step towards building a more resilient, joyful, and truly productive life.

WHO ELSE IS A WORKAHOLIC?
I didn’t think that working 2 jobs would be possible, but it is. I wouldn’t say that I enjoy working, but I do enjoy staying busy and making money. I just hate staying at home and I also feel like if I’m not doing something I’m being lazy and I also don’t have anything else better to do with myself
