After my diagnosis last November, I committed to a 30-minute workout plan that balances cardio and strength training while being mindful of overtraining. My regimen starts with a 15-minute treadmill session using an incline of 3.0 to 6.0 and speeds between 2.7 to 3.0 mph. This moderate-intensity cardio helps improve insulin sensitivity, which is often a concern for women with PCOS. Following that, I focus on strength training exercises that target multiple muscle groups, such as barbell back squats, seated barbell shoulder presses, and a superset combining kettlebell swings with squat to upright rows. These compound movements not only build muscle but also boost metabolism. Consistency is my mantra—I prioritize showing up and doing the work over perfection or high intensity. This smart, intentional approach has allowed me to lose 35 pounds without overtraining or injury, supporting sustainable body transformation. If you’re on a similar PCOS journey, incorporating a carefully structured workout like this can make a meaningful difference in managing symptoms and improving overall health.
