Reflecting on my relationship with my mother, especially when I reached her age of early 30s, truly deepened my appreciation for the sacrifices she made. Being a single mom isn't easy — it demands resilience, courage, and a relentless spirit. My mother balanced so many roles: provider, nurturer, and role model, all while maintaining her own dreams and ambitions. I remember feeling inspired by her carefree yet determined nature, qualities that helped her navigate challenges while still showing us love and support. As I embrace my own journey in my 30s, I often wish I could sit down with her young self and share experiences. I believe we would have found common ground instantly, and I would tell her how amazing she is, wrapped in a tight hug.
