How to get deals with your dream brands!
But how to get a brand to respond back? ⬇️
That is something I too still struggle with at times.
There’s certainly some brands that I feel like I can’t get an in with or they’re just not interested in the specific content or creator I’m approaching them with.
You have to realize that not every brand wants to work with you. 🤷🏼♀️
✨BUT THERE ARE BRANDS THAT DO MAKE SENSE! (It’s very important to not get down on yourself!)
💌 I typically will reach out to brands via Email. We also have the luxury of utilizing DM’s on socials.
🫶🏻 But I think the best way to get a response from a brand is being thoughtful on WHO you are reaching out to.
Making sure you’re reaching out to brands that genuinely fit for the type of content that you create!
Because if you start there; Finding a clear, obvious fit with the brand- you will more likely get a response.
Ex. If you’re a creator that posts Target hauls or something like that? Reach out to brands that are stocked IN TARGET!! 🎯
👱🏼♀️ Finding the right person at the brand is super important! You need to talk to their influencer manager, marketing manager, etc..
👉🏼 To find the right contact you can stalk them on LinkedIn lol (or use tools like @clearbit or @meetapollo.io ).
☎️ I also have a 500+ Brand Contact Directory in my LINK IN BIO!! (Updated every month!)
Make your first pitch super short and sweet! These people receiving influencer requests are inundated and don’t have a lot of time. Get straight to the point.
✋🏼 Your first pitch to a brand shouldn’t be for an immediate deal. Instead, you are opening up a conversation.
🔖 ALWAYS TAG THE BRAND: this can start up some chit chat with the brands social person! (Usually the social person is a part of the team hiring influencers)
Not every brand is going to respond and that’s FINE! There are so many brands out there that would love to work with you.
And lastly, make sure you FOLLOW UP 2-3 times. 😊

To successfully land collaborations with your desired brands, it's essential to understand their content strategies and the type of creators they engage. Start by analyzing their social media feeds, including tagged posts, to see which influencers match their style. Take note of any partner hashtags they use, as this could provide insight into their ongoing influencer campaigns. For example, if you're eyeing a fashion brand, ensure your content aligns with their aesthetic and messaging. Next, prepare to create quality content that mirrors what the brand typically shares. If they are known for specific genres like product reviews or lifestyle content, craft sample posts in that niche. Tagging the brand in your creations can get their attention, potentially leading to organic conversations. Finding the right contact person within the brand is critical. Use LinkedIn or professional networking tools like Clearbit to locate influencer marketing managers. When communicating, focus on why your audience is a natural fit for their products. Your initial outreach should aim to establish a rapport rather than negotiating an immediate deal. Always keep your message concise—brand reps receive numerous requests and appreciate brevity. Lastly, persistence pays off. If you don’t receive a response, it's acceptable to follow up after a couple of days. Sometimes, a gentle nudge can reel in interest when brands are inundated with pitches. Remember, many brands seek fresh partnerships and would be delighted to work with passionate creators like you.
