Shower Plants
#everythingshowerroutine #lemon8challenge I think it's really important to have as much nature around you at all times, even when indoors, especially in rooms that don't have Windows like bathrooms. Our bathroom happens to not have a window where we currently live, so I made sure to get a bunch of different vine plants that will grow long and droopy to put in the shower and up on bookshelves 🙂 having eucalyptus and fresh plants in our shower definitely enhances the experience while bathing. Having fresh eucalyptus also helps open up your sinuses and helps you breathe better and distress. Does anybody else put plants in their shower?
Living in a space without natural light, especially in areas like bathrooms, can sometimes feel a bit disconnected from nature. I've found that incorporating plants, particularly in the shower area, can truly transform that experience. Vine plants like pothos or philodendrons are excellent choices because they thrive in humid environments and low light. One of my favorite additions is fresh eucalyptus. Not only does it add a lovely natural scent, but it also acts as a natural decongestant. Hanging a small bundle of eucalyptus in the shower releases soothing oils when exposed to steam, helping to clear sinuses and promote relaxation. This ritual has made my showers feel like a calming spa session. Additionally, plants in the bathroom help improve air quality by filtering out toxins and increasing humidity balance. Given that bathrooms often lack airflow, this added freshness is a big plus. To maximize the benefits, I recommend placing plants on high shelves or corners where they aren't in direct water spray but still receive moisture from steam. Taking care of these plants is straightforward – occasional watering and ensuring they are not overexposed to direct sunlight suffice. This simple touch of greenery transforms the otherwise enclosed space into a refreshing natural oasis, enhancing mood and wellbeing every time you step in for your daily shower.
