Moms, I need your help!
With my first two babies, I found out their genders really early on using the sneak peek test and getting the results emailed to me!
This time around we are waiting till the anatomy scan at 20 weeks but I’m really debating how I want to do it.
The two options would be to just find out in the room while we’re getting the ultrasound or to have them tell us to look away during that part and print out a picture and put it in an envelope for us to open later.
If we find out in the room, then it’s less intimate for us and I also can’t film our reaction. But the thought of finding out during the ultrasound and then knowing the gender while we get to see them, does sound fun!
If we get it printed out and put in an envelope to look at later, then I can film our reaction and we can find out with just us but then I won’t get to know during the ultrasound and kind of make that connection while I’m getting to see them.
What would you do or what have you done if you were in the situation?

Expecting a baby is an exciting journey filled with many decisions, including how to reveal the baby's gender. The method chosen can affect not just the experience of discovery but also the emotional connection felt during the ultrasound. Finding out the gender during the anatomy scan can be thrilling as it allows parents to see their baby on the screen, enhancing the moment with a visual connection. Conversely, waiting for a private reveal with an envelope can create intimacy and the opportunity to film your family’s reaction, making it a memorable keepsake. Many parents opt for the ultrasound reveal, seeking the joy of immediate reaction as they witness their little one, while others cherish the anticipation and surprise that the envelope method offers. Regardless of the choice, capturing these moments on video can provide lasting memories. It's essential to consider what feels right for you and your family. Engage with other parents to discover various experiences and anecdotes, ensuring a thoughtful decision that resonates with your values and excitement for your little one.

We were going to wait, so we had her put it in an envelope but just ended up looking at it right when we left the room 😅
