the moment i realized healing was not about becoming someone new🌺
maybe healing is not becoming someone new, maybe it is finally returning to yourself.
for a long time, i thought healing meant fixing everything about myself.
being more confident.
more productive.
more positive.
more “together.”
but the truth is, healing is not about becoming a completely different person.
it is about returning to the version of you that existed before the world convinced you that you were too much, not enough, too loud, too sensitive, or too hard to love.
healing is remembering what feels natural to you.
what makes you feel alive.
what makes you feel safe.
what makes you feel like yourself again.
maybe you do not need to become someone else.
maybe you just need to come home to yourself.
save this for the days you forget who you are.

From my own healing journey, I've learned that the process truly involves embracing who you were before external pressures shaped your self-view. For years, I believed healing meant transforming into a more confident, productive, or positive version of myself. But that only caused frustration and exhaustion. The real breakthrough came when I realized healing meant unearthing my authentic self—the one untouched by societal expectations or past hurts. This return to self brings a sense of safety and belonging I've never known from trying to fix perceived flaws. It's about remembering what activities, people, and mindsets make you feel alive and genuine. For example, reconnecting with old hobbies that once sparked joy or quiet moments of reflection can help restore your natural rhythm. Healing is also forgiving yourself for times when you felt "too much" or "not enough" and understanding that those labels were never truly yours. On difficult days when you forget who you are, gently remind yourself to come home to that authentic core. Practice self-compassion, listen to your intuition, and set boundaries that protect your energy. Your healing journey is uniquely personal and less about becoming someone new, and more about rediscovering the beauty in who you’ve always been. This shift in mindset allowed me to find peace and resilience, strengthening my confidence and self-love organically over time.

Thank you!!❤️
