You'll definitely want to team up with other trainers, whether that's locally or remotely using a remote raid pass. When it comes to the actual catch phase after defeating the raid boss, patience is absolutely key. I always make sure to use a Golden Razz Berry for every throw – it drastically increases your chances of success with those limited Premier Balls. And speaking of Premier Balls, make every single one count! Focus intently on landing Great or, even better, Excellent curveball throws. My personal strategy is to wait for Xerneas to finish its attack animation before I throw. This creates a window where it's less likely to swat your ball away, helping me time my throws perfectly for that crucial "Excellent" rating. It took me a few tries and a lot of concentration, but seeing that "Caught" message pop up for my Xerneas (which was a solid 155/155HP as the OCR showed!) was an absolutely glorious feeling! Now that I have my Xerneas, I've been diving deeper into its stats and how to best utilize it. As the OCR clearly highlighted, Xerneas is a powerful FAIRY-type Pokémon. Knowing its typing is super important for strategizing in battles because Fairy-types are fantastic against Dragon, Fighting, and Dark-type Pokémon – types that are incredibly common and strong in the GO Battle League and many raid scenarios. My Xerneas came with pretty solid IVs, and I've already started the process of POWER UP. You need a good amount of STARDUST and XERNEAS CANDY, plus those elusive XERNEAS CANDY XL for powering it up to its highest potential CP levels. It can be a real grind to collect all these resources, but believe me, it's totally worth it to make it a formidable opponent. The OCR also mentioned how vital Xerneas is for GYMS & RAIDS and TRAINER BATTLES, which perfectly describes where this legendary truly shines. I've already used my Xerneas in a few TRAINER BATTLES, particularly in the Master League, and it's been a game-changer. In GYMS, it's an excellent defender, standing strong against many common attackers, and its majestic presence certainly looks cool on top of a gym! Having such a strong Fairy attacker in your arsenal is absolutely crucial for any serious trainer, and Xerneas definitely fits the bill, ready to take on anything from a towering Dragonite to a menacing Zekrom.
