What’s in my backpack: College Edition

Since I start my classes in person tomorrow, I thought this would be the perfect post for today. It’ll be my first time on campus doing in person classes which is so nerve wracking but worth.

First, all of my notebooks. I’m taking 5 classes but two of them are the same class and the rest are online classes. And I also have a folder to have extra paper.

My pencil pouch that has my pens, pencils, and highlighters plus some sticky notes, glue, a ruler, and chapstick. I cant go wrong with all my stuff in this pencil pouch. I use everything in it.

Pencil pouch number 2. My highlighter pouch. I always carry this around because as crazy as it sounds I highlight a lot of stuff and my brain works with colors. When I was in high school I used to carry around 3 different pencil pouches, one for highlighters, one for pens, and one for marker pens. I take so many notes.

Some other things I’ll have in my bag are textbooks, computers, my water bottle, and a girl bag that has all my hygiene products and stuff. I also have a charger in one of the pockets and notecards. I also have my second bag which just has all my normal stuff i carry around.

... Read moreAs college life begins, having the right supplies in your backpack can significantly enhance your study experience. Key items include a variety of notebooks for each class, as staying organized is crucial. It's helpful to have a dedicated folder for extra paper and important documents. Pencil pouches are not just about pens and pencils; they should also hold highlighters, sticky notes, and even glue to help with various projects. Many students find that using color-coded highlighters improves their retention and understanding of complex materials. Utilizing two pencil pouches—one for writing instruments and another for highlighting—can streamline organization. Don't forget textbooks and your laptop; having easy access to digital materials is essential. Staying hydrated is also important, so include a reusable water bottle. A personal care bag with hygiene essentials ensures you're prepared for any situation, while a small charger can keep your devices powered throughout the day. Lastly, consider carrying notecards for quick study sessions. By thoughtfully selecting the contents of your backpack, you can create a personalized toolkit that supports your academic journey.
