Canada is now open again as an outbound destination for China tour groups, the Chinese Foreign Ministry confirms.
Chinese travel agencies may resume organising group tours to Canada, as Beijing says it aims to “further promote personnel exchanges” and boost understanding between the two countries.
The move follows assessments of outbound travel demand, the tourism environment and bilateral relations, according to spokesperson Mao Ning.
Chinese officials also call on the Canadian side to reciprocate by ensuring a safe and comfortable travel environment for Chinese tourists.
