Saving Money Tips! ✨
Saving money is hard. It’s takes lots of discipline and self-control. And my god… I did not have that for years. After constantly throwing myself back into barely paying my bills, I finally found budgeting that works for me. Knowing where your money is going is important. There are budgeting apps too if writing it down isn’t for you.
1. Budget Binder
I make tips at my job. Any cash I get will be divided into the pockets and kept there. I have pockets for bills, expenses, debt, and personal. I keep my savings completely separate. Keeping extra sheets is a must have and useful, a pack of 90 was $7 on Amazon.
2. Journal
I write down all my current bills, debt, and write down all transactions month by month. I do an end-of-month-summary to look over my spending and compare it to last month and then set goals and plan for next month. I also like this cute mushroom journal.
3. Coin Jar
I’ve always kept a coin jar since I was a kid. A lot of people don’t want their coins but it’s worth it in the end. The most I have ever saved was $400.

Saving money can seem daunting, but with the right strategies, it becomes manageable and even rewarding. One effective method is utilizing a budget binder. This tool allows you to categorize your income, expenses, and savings clearly, making it easier to keep track of where your money goes. Each category can have dedicated pockets: for bills, personal expenses, and savings. This separation fosters discipline and ensures that funds are allocated appropriately. In addition, maintaining a financial journal can further enhance your budgeting efforts. By documenting bills and monthly transactions, you create a clear picture of your financial situation. Regularly summarizing your expenses will help identify patterns and establish a budget that works for you. Setting specific savings goals each month can lead to substantial improvements in your financial health over time. Another simple yet effective approach is saving spare change. Establish a coin jar for your loose coins, as this small habit can lead to significant savings. Over time, the accumulated change can provide a surprise boost to your savings, helping you meet financial goals or cover unexpected expenses. For those who prefer digital solutions, consider budgeting apps that allow you to track spending seamlessly. These applications often provide insights based on your spending habits and help create a more informed budget. Whether you choose a physical budget binder or a digital solution, the key lies in consistency and mindfulness in managing your finances. Start applying these tips today and watch how they transform your approach to saving money.
