When striping becomes the art language, "JIVE," an exhibition that challenges our understanding through fall materials and neon light, by the artist Noi Ankhwathana Pong.

In an age when information flows in every second, having an answer becomes more urgent than having an understanding. We share an article before we read it, we comment before we finish it, and many times we shamelessly 'strip'.

The "JIVE" exhibition draws on contemporary issues that reflect the message-making behavior of today's people. We recognize only a fraction of the truth while being pressured to choose sides, to understand, and to have opinions. As uncertainty and skepticism increase, so the plow becomes a way to survive, to adapt, to creative survival.

Artists present eight works: Raindance, LEAP, Twin Flame Household, In Our Life, Take One, Lil'G, and Pablo's. We will see artwork assembled from pieces such as wooden letters, toy guns, plows, to damaged light bulbs that remake stories in the language of bending neon light that not only serves to illuminate, but as a line that tells or whispers certain meanings for us to carry on ourselves.

"JIVE," the title of the exhibition, reflects the concept of the exhibition. The work in this exhibition does not try to tell the story in a straight line, but leaves room for us to engage as followers of the meaning of a variety of contextless objects paired with neon light, and opens up space to confusion, doubt, fluidity of understanding. We do not have to translate it directly, but we have to dare to "strip" it in our own language.
