When stationary is not a failure, it is a common burden between humans, places and times that we still have to care for.
"Grounded," an exhibition that doesn't take us anywhere, but makes it known that we never got off the ground once by willing Chalsiri.
Willing Schlsiri, an artist who works with fall-collecting materials, focuses on exploring the meaning embedded in the material through the placement and relationship between objects; her works often consider issues of existence, the relationship between concrete and abstract, human perception of the environment, dependent balance, and realization in living organisms, through physical experience rather than straightforward storytelling.
In the exhibition, Grounded is the first of a series of artists to use "soil" as the primary material, preceding the concept of "grounding" in both the physical and emotional sense, a condition in which the body, memory, and objects may not move freely, but are tied to space, residence history, and expectations accumulated through time.
Artists take us to explore the relationship between humans and their surroundings, through the soil, and fall storage materials such as shutters, drawers, railings, old door frames, etc., not as traces of the past, but as things that still work today.
Objects in the exhibit area are not freely located, if fragile, leaning, supporting and cradling together; this condition reflects the relationship between man and his surroundings, not ownership, but coexistence under constant pressure; attachment to the ground is therefore not a standstill, but a responsibility for what is not over.

การมีโอกาสได้ไปชมนิทรรศการ Grounded ทำให้ผมรู้สึกว่าแนวคิดของการ "ติดดิน" นั้นมีความหมายลึกซึ้งกว่าที่คิดไว้มาก ปกติเรามักตีความการอยู่นิ่งหรือการติดอยู่กับที่ว่าเป็นความล้มเหลวหรือความไม่ก้าวหน้า แต่ที่นี่กลับสื่อสารความรู้สึกว่าการอยู่กับที่นั้นเป็นเรื่องของความรับผิดชอบและความสัมพันธ์ที่ยังไม่สิ้นสุดระหว่างมนุษย์กับสถานที่ที่เราอาศัยอยู่ สิ่งที่โดดเด่นคือการนำดินมาเป็นวัสดุหลักพร้อมกับวัตถุเก่า เช่น บานประตูหรือราวบันได ซึ่งไม่ได้เป็นแค่สิ่งของที่รอวันถูกลบเลือน แต่ยังมีชีวิตและหน้าที่ที่ทำงานในปัจจุบัน วัตถุเหล่านี้พิงกัน ประคองกันอย่างเปราะบาง สะท้อนถึงสภาวะความสัมพันธ์ของเรากับโลกภายนอกที่ต้องพึ่งพากันและกันภายใต้แรงกดดันต่างๆ เมื่อเข้าไปในพื้นที่จัดแสดง รู้สึกเหมือนถูกเชื่อมโยงกับอดีตและปัจจุบันในเวลาเดียวกัน ความฝังลึกของความทรงจำและประวัติศาสตร์ของสถานที่ และความรู้สึกทางกายภาพของสิ่งที่อยู่ตรงหน้า สร้างให้เกิดความตระหนักรู้ในความเปราะบางแต่แข็งแรงของการอยู่ร่วมกัน นิทรรศการนี้จึงไม่ใช่เรื่องของการหนีจากความจริง แต่กลับเป็นการยอมรับและดูแลสิ่งที่ยังอยู่กับเรา นอกจากนี้ การที่นิทรรศการจัดแสดงฟรีและมีที่จอดรถสะดวก ถือเป็นการเปิดโอกาสให้ทุกคนได้เข้าถึงและร่วมสัมผัสประสบการณ์นี้อย่างไม่ถูกจำกัด เป็นสิ่งที่ผมมองว่าตรงกับแนวคิดการแบ่งปันและอยู่ร่วมกันซึ่ง Grounded พยายามสื่อสารอย่างแท้จริง ถ้าคุณต้องการสัมผัสประสบการณ์ที่ชวนให้ตั้งคำถามและสะท้อนถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างตัวเรา สถานที่ และเวลา Grounded เป็นนิทรรศการที่ผมอยากแนะนำให้ไปเยี่ยมชมอย่างยิ่งครับ
