Just "BEING BE / NG BE - NG
When the world constantly accelerates us to define, grow, and understand everything, "Just" BEING BE / NG BE - NG, "an exhibition that invites us to stop looking for answers and live with ignorance as a normal human being by A Kid from Yesterday (Paul - Sompak Ratawari).
The most fundamental question: Before we try to explain life, have we really just been with it? "Just" BEING BE / NG BE - NG does not start with a story or event, but invites us to explore the pre-meaning of life.
The exhibition suggests that things do not have a fixed meaning, flowers do not have to represent hope, cigarettes do not necessarily represent degeneration, and actions do not necessarily have a moral conclusion, so the world is not seen as a rational system, but as an area where things just exist together.
Artists use what we're used to. Big eyes, thick lines, bright flat colors. Influenced by classic cartoons like Looney Tunes and Nickelodeon, it feels approachable. But as we spend more time with it, we find that the characters don't do things like a baby world, children smoke, flower hugs with smoke floats, but no image decides, only existence.
Maybe living doesn't have to solve every problem, but living with it the way it is. In a world that tells us to be something all the time, this exhibition invites us to just "be," not to understand, not to grow up, just to live with ignorance.

จากประสบการณ์การไปเยี่ยมนิทรรศการ "Just BEING BE/NG BE—NG" ที่ Street Star Gallery Urban Art (อ่อนนุช) ผมรู้สึกได้ว่าผลงานของ A Kid from Yesterday ไม่ได้แค่เป็นการแสดงศิลปะธรรมดาๆ แต่เป็นการเชิญชวนให้เราได้หยุดคิด หยุดนิ่ง และหยุดพยายามนิยามชีวิตตลอดเวลา ในยุคที่โลกเร่งรีบให้เราต้องเติบโต รู้คำตอบ และอธิบายทุกสิ่งอย่าง นิทรรศการนี้ได้นำเสนอแง่มุมที่แตกต่างอย่างชัดเจน ผ่านตัวละครที่มีลักษณะตาโต เส้นหนา สีแบนสดใส ได้รับแรงบันดาลใจจากการ์ตูนคลาสสิกเช่น Looney Tunes หรือ Nickelodeon ตัวละครเหล่านี้ทำให้เรารู้สึกคุ้นเคยและเข้าถึงง่าย แต่สิ่งที่น่าสนใจคือ ภาพเหล่านี้ไม่ได้ให้ภาพโลกเด็กที่ไร้เดียงสา แต่แสดงถึงการดำรงอยู่แบบไม่มีการตัดสิน เช่น เด็กที่สูบบุหรี่หรือกอดดอกไม้โดยมีควันลอยอยู่ ด้วยความที่ไม่มีสิ่งใดถูกตัดสินให้ดี หรือเลว การแสดงออกเหล่านี้ทำให้เรารู้สึกสบายใจมากขึ้นที่จะยอมรับความซับซ้อนและความขัดแย้งในชีวิตจริง นิทรรศการยังชวนเราถอยออกมามองโลกในสถานะที่ไม่ต้องรีบค้นหาความหมายหรือบทสรุปของชีวิต แต่แค่ยอมรับความไม่รู้และอยู่กับมันอย่างเปิดใจ ความรู้สึกนี้เหมือนกับการได้พักจากแรงกดดันของการต้องมีคำตอบหรือการต้องแก้ปัญหาในทุกเรื่อง ซึ่งผมคิดว่าเป็นความรู้สึกที่หายากในโลกยุคปัจจุบัน นอกจากนี้ การจัดแสดงที่ Street Star Gallery Urban Art (อ่อนนุช) ยังมีบรรยากาศเอื้อต่อการชื่นชมงานศิลปะอย่างลึกซึ้ง มีที่จอดรถสะดวกและเปิดให้เข้าชมฟรี ทำให้ง่ายต่อการเข้าถึงและสัมผัสประสบการณ์นี้ ด้วยเวลาจัดแสดงถึง 1 มีนาคม 2569 ถือเป็นโอกาสดีสำหรับใครที่อยากได้เวลาหลุดออกจากความวุ่นวายและปล่อยใจให้เป็น "แค่การอยู่" กับปัจจุบันอย่างแท้จริง โดยสรุป นิทรรศการนี้ไม่เพียงแค่เป็นการชมผลงานศิลปะ แต่ยังเป็นการฝึกฝนจิตใจให้พร้อมรับความไม่แน่นอน รับความไม่สมบูรณ์แบบ และเห็นคุณค่าในความเป็นมนุษย์ธรรมดาที่ไม่จำเป็นต้องหาเหตุผลหรือคำตอบเสมอไป
