When the "Middle Way" is not a straight line to walk, it is to confront chaos, attachment, and emptiness within itself.
"The Middle Way," an exhibition that explores the "Middle Way" concept through art that conveys a journey from chaos to balance and questioning emptiness within the mind by Buddhaandz.
The exhibition is divided into three phases, a journey of mind that slowly transitions from distraction to self-consideration and emptiness.
The journey begins at "turmoil," through a sculpture packed with all kinds of catharters, monsters, skulls, flowers, and symbols crowded together, representing a mind dominated by greed, anger, obsession, and stimuli around it, while inserting it with symbols of mercy, likening it to a small spark leading to peace.
Stepping into the "Middle Way," the Mura Karma works take the flower-like shape Murakami to interpret the concept of "sow as much as you will." The face of each flower is distorted by karma and action, while Muttra flips the meaning of the "middle finger" from the negative symbol into a representative of the "Middle Way."
The destination is a "void" that is not presented through open space, but through cave-like sculptures, meditation, and empty space inside objects, but is covered with colors, as if telling us that the emptiness we seek may be just a mental image if we stick to the appearance.
"The Middle Way" does not explain the principle directly through religious symbolism, but uses the language of contemporary art, pop, colorful and humor to interpret the concept of the Middle Way into an experience that invites the audience to explore themselves and question where we are today on our journey.

การเข้าชมนิทรรศการ The Middle Way ที่ Neu Contemporary ทำให้ผมตระหนักถึงความงดงามและความลึกซึ้งของแนวคิด "ทางสายกลาง" ผ่านมุมมองใหม่ที่ไม่ใช่แค่หลักธรรมะแบบดั้งเดิม แต่นำเสนอผ่านศิลปะป๊อปสีสันสดใสและตัวละครที่เต็มไปด้วยอารมณ์ขัน ส่วนที่ประทับใจมากคือการแบ่งนิทรรศการเป็น 3 ช่วง คือ ความวุ่นวาย ทางสายกลาง และความว่างเปล่า ซึ่งแต่ละช่วงสะท้อนภาพจิตใจในรูปแบบที่แปลกตาและท้าทายความคิด เช่น การรวบรวมกะโหลก สัตว์ประหลาด และดอกไม้ที่ตีความถึงความโลภ ความโกรธ และความหลง พร้อมสัญลักษณ์ของการแผ่เมตตาเป็นเหมือนประกายแห่งความสงบ โดยเฉพาะผลงาน Mura Karma ที่นำรูปลักษณ์ดอกไม้มุราคามิมาแสดงออกถึงหลักกรรม "หว่านพืชเช่นใดย่อมได้ผลเช่นนั้น" อย่างชัดเจน ซึ่งช่วยให้เราเข้าใจว่าการกระทำของเราส่งผลต่อชีวิตและจิตใจอย่างไร ส่วน Muttra ช่วยพลิกความหมายของ "นิ้วกลาง" ที่มักถูกมองในแง่ลบ ให้กลายเป็นสัญลักษณ์ของทางสายกลางที่ช่วยนำพาไปสู่ความสมดุล สิ่งที่บอกได้คือ นิทรรศการนี้ไม่ได้เสนอให้เรามองหาความว่างเปล่าผ่านสิ่งที่เป็นความนิ่งหรือลักษณะภายนอกเท่านั้น แต่ชวนให้ตั้งคำถามว่าความว่างจริงๆ อาจเป็นสิ่งที่จิตใจสร้างขึ้นหากเรายังยึดติดกับรูปลักษณ์ภายนอก นับเป็นการเดินทางภายในที่ลึกซึ้งและหลากหลายมิติ จากประสบการณ์นี้ ผมมองว่าการเดินบน "ทางสายกลาง" จริงๆ อาจไม่ใช่การเลือกเส้นทางที่ชัดเจนหรือเรียบง่าย แต่คือการเผชิญหน้ากับความซับซ้อนทั้งภายในและภายนอกตัวเรา และเรียนรู้ที่จะอยู่กับมันอย่างสมดุลในแต่ละก้าวของชีวิต
